C25k Graduation Present!

Thursday, September 02, 2010

As a gift to myself for successfully completing C25k in EXACTLY 9 weeks, as designed, I rewarded myself with a Garmin Forerunner 305! Whoa, exciting. I've been eyeballing these little gadgets ever since I STARTED C25k and have been aching to get one. I originally thought about waiting til the holiday season to ask for one, but its only $150 and I feel like I've proven to myself how serious I am about running. So ultimately, I truly feel I deserve it and I think it will prove to be an invaluable training tool!

Tomorrow morning is my first run with it, so I'll let y'all know how it goes! emoticon

Here's a pic for those who have no clue what I'm talking about:

That's a great idea for a reward! I'm almost done with week 3 and every single time I step on the treadmill, I wish I had a heart rate monitor! My treadmill even has a little spot to attach one, but I don't have it :( Maybe in 5 weeks and one day I will have earned my own :)
