Level 1 30 Day Shred in the books!

Thursday, September 02, 2010

I finished Level 1 of Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred on 8/31/10 (with a few days off and extra days to make up for it tacked on).

Today, I began Level 2. Boy, I must have really gained a lot of strength in Level 1 to feel like doing it wasn't that much of a challenge anymore, but that strength is only a baseline for Level 2 - it totally kicked my butt! It was awesome to be sweating and breathing hard and knowing that I am re-challenging my body to adapt and change. emoticon

I am excited to keep pushing forward with this DVD - I find it to be an excellent way to get in strength training in a short period of time and I even am still liking listening to Jillian, although I must admit that I was able to say all of her lines for Level 1 by the end of the 30 days. *lol*

I took a picture of myself this morning after completing Day 1 of Level 2 (D1L2), which I will post tomorrow. Even though I was sweaty and my hair was messy, I still was proud of how I looked and felt.

I am doing really well with staying within my calorie range this week - something that I have been struggling with in the past few weeks. The challenge will be this weekend, for sure. My husband wants to take me to the State Fair and we have a labor day BBQ to attend on Sunday. Hrrrm - I will need to plan my days in advance to make sure I stay on track. I know I can do it!

emoticon Still truckin' along - hope you are doing it to it too!

Way to go! I've been through all three levels and each one is definitely progressively more difficult, but now I find myself just picking a level based on how I feel...and they're still tough! :)

Hooray for completing the first level! I'm thinking of starting her dvd again on my two strength days. Maybe I'll do both, Jillian and Jackie, the two J ladies :)
