September Goals

Wednesday, September 01, 2010

Ok, so, I've been doing a lot of thinking for September. I think I have some good goals. Now, I just wish I could find something to train for (like so many of my SP friends). First, let's go over my August goals:

emoticonExercise 6-7 times a week. Oh yeah, haven't taken a day off in awhile.

emoticonBe below 120: uh, nope, didn't get there. Not even close.

emoticonBe conscious of eating & track: well, I was kind of good with this, but didn't always track.

emoticonTry a healthy recipe once a week: yeah, failed!

Okay, on to September:

What are my fitness goals? To get lean and trim
What is my weight goal? Lose 5 lbs & try to be under 120!
What are my rewards? Well, ok, haven't figured that one out yet.
What are my fitness plans? Continue my exercise routine (unless I find something to train for & need to readjust it). Do cardio everyday for at least 30 mins, if not more. Strength train 2 times a week. Box one time a week. Spin at least 2-3 times a week. Body sculpt once a week (love that class!). Now, some things might have to change once I get Rachel's soccer schedule for Saturdays.
What's my diet going to be like? I need to track my food regularly & eat clean (as much as possible).
What are you going to do if you go off track? Get back on it at the next meal, or at least the next day.
Any other goals? I would like to start bike riding again. Maybe I can get DH to help me get back or, enlist my friend to help me. She lives around the corner & bikes a lot. I would also like to find something to train for. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm listening. I still would like to try to find one new recipe to make a week. Any one have any good ones for me to try? Send them my way!!

Okay, here it is. It's in writing, so, I'm committed.

Until tomorrow-

Great goals, Chana. I think I'll try writing up some goals for September too.

I like the idea of getting your husband to bike with you. A couple of months ago my dh and I were on a bike ride on a Saturday morning. And he said he'd love to do this every Saturday morning for the rest of his life. He said he felt like a teenager out for a bike ride with his best friend. I think we've only missed one Saturday since he said that! I don't always feel like going, but after hearing a heartfelt sentiment like that, it has made me want to make that effort. Husbands can be very inspiring!

I also like having something to train for. It keeps things interesting. And race day can be so fun and uplifting.

Good job on the goals you did well with in August and good luck in September! emoticon emoticon

emoticon emoticon emoticon Awesome goals Chana :)

are there any charity walks, runs or bike rides in your area? We usually have them Sept, Oct and in the spring... Another idea would be a college level fitness class where they focus on improvements (thinking of my swim class & drills ad nauseum ;)

Or, someday... i'm thinking P90X for the fun of it!!! Ha! I can hear myself muttering on that ;)
