My friends left yesterday - I managed to get rid of some of my old clothes as they fit my friend's gf and she loved them! I gave her all the skirts, some trousers and some tops. Next time I'll prepare other stuff so I can give her that too.
Finally some space in my wardrobe :)
I've been looking for a ticket to Nottingham to go and see the Moody Blues but for some reason it wouldn't let me book it so I'll leave it to tomorrow.
This morning I received the new (black) Tummy Tucks I got from eBay for less than half the price I paid for the blue ones in the shop here in London. I ripped the packaging and they were on almost as soon as they hit the mat :)))
They feel a bit tight on my bum but I think it's because I'm not used to tight fitting clothes. I feel a bit self-conscious and I wish I could see myself from behind, as I keep thinking they are far too tight!
Yesterday and today the weather was lovely and I've been back on my bike. As none of my female friends were around, and frankly it's no use asking a man if anything shows off my bum too much, I went to see an ex colleague to ask her if they looked ok from behind. She said yes, but then again she'd say that wouldn't she? I still feel self-conscious! They do feel incredibly comfortable though.
This morning I also picked up the courage to use the open air gym in my local park. I'd first seen it in another fairly local park last year but felt too embarrassed to use it; then a neighbour told me they had set one up in this other park and we'd talked about going together, but she's never around so it never happened. This morning I cycled through the park and saw the gym was empty except for an old man with his grandson so I gave it a go. The man was really sweet as he showed me how to use the equipment and encouraged me to try. I used all the machines to exercise arm and chest muscles. I think I might have overdone it a bit as my arms are still shaky :)))
I'll try to go back three times a week or so, as my arms, chest and tummy really need muscles!
I'm still repeating the last day of week 3 for the 200 squat challenge. It's 5 sets separated by about 40-60 seconds each: the first is 22 squats, the second 29, the third 20, the fourth 21. The last one is as many as possible (at least 29). Today I did a total of 155 squats, meaning that my last set was 63 consecutive ones :D
I think it's safe to say that next week I can move on to week 4!
I also finally made a dish I'd been craving for weeks. It's an Italian summer thing and you need stale bread to make it, but the bread you find in the UK isn't really good for it. A few weeks ago I found a shop where I can get the right bread and I bought some, but it was so good that I'd eat it all before it was stale! Eventually I managed to leave some and today I had the dish for dinner. Yum!
Looking forward to my friends arriving from Italy tomorrow.
