Access Regained

Sunday, August 29, 2010

I've been without cable tv and internet access for the last few days. My soon-to-be-ex-husband was supposed to change the billing into my name. I had filled out papers and given them to him about 3 weeks ago. Instead of giving them to the cable company, he terminated my service on Thursday while I was at work (and then called me to taunt me about it).

The good news is, not only did they offer to do my installation on a sunday, but they also are giving me $20 off my bill for the next 6 months since I am a "new" customer.

I'm trying hard not to be bitter, and have been keeping something I read on one of the sparkpeople emails in mind. I don't have the exact quote, but it's a buddhist saying regarding anger that is something like: If you hold a hot coal in your hands, intending to throw it at someone, the one who gets burned is you. So I'm focusing on the positive, and putting all my energy into rebuilding my life.

Girl, you are one strong woman. What a guy he is! You most definitely are better off without him. I am so happy for you that you came out to be the winner in the end. That is what Karma will do for you. As for that quote, I love it! I am definitely going to write that down and remember it always.
Hang tough, I am cheering you on all the way!~ :)
