Sunday is my favorite day of the week. I take a moment to relax and recharge my batteries.
This is the first Sunday in months that I have not gotten up early and done a bike, swim or run work out. Last night I felt like I was fighting off the flu - achy muscles, headache, blech.
So i went to bed early and slept til done! No alarm clock to wake me. I slept more than 10 hours! Guess my body needed a break.
And now, I feel refreshed again. I am ready to plan my next course of action - really get back on track with logging my food eaten, planning my runs toward training for that November half marathon, and keeping bike and swim workouts in the picture. I am so happy to be reading about my SP friend's upcoming triathlon, and cheering her and others on. These friends online have helped me keep motivated and focused on healthy living and achieving goals.
When I look back over my time on SP, i see a true progression towards a healthy balance in life. It is not all about working out. Its not all about tracking every calorie. It is about taking time for me, so that I can create some balance in my life, and be there for myself and my family and friends.
At 51 years old, I still am learning and growing.
I feel truly blessed. Life is good.
