Setting Goal

Friday, August 27, 2010

I lost 1.4 lbs last Wednesday. I am still trying to lose the 4 lbs I g ained prior to going on vacation! I am getting bored with just working out on the treadmill, so, I plan on adding the elliptical and water aerobics. I have decided to set weight loss goal of 50 lbs by Christmas when I visit family in Georgia. I have lost 35 lbs, so, I need to lose 18 lbs by Christmas. I would actually like to lose more but I don't think it would be very realistic.

I wish I could claim to have lost 35 pounds but at least I am at 20 pounds gone. I believe by you adding in the extra ways of cardio its going to help get your body weight down. Even if its a slow progress down its going down, remember. Have you considered adding in some body weight or resistance band strength training exercises? Even doing some 10 minutes sessions 3 times a week and you'll start to see an improvement in your fitness ability. Plus it sure helps tone those muscles.

For me you've now motivated me to seriously seek other forms of exercise to add into my routines to mix it up and help jumpstart my own weight loss. I'd be thrilled to reach my goal by Christmas which is suppose to be another 20 pounds to go. I am going to base my weight loss on how I feel, and if I feel my body is now toned enough.

How are you setting your goals? Are they for you or what your family would like to see you at? Remember to continue to believe in yourself, work towards your goals, track, drink that water, and get that sleep. Don't let the upcoming holidays deter you from staying consistent.

Wow, 35lbs is nothing to sneeze at, what an accomplishment. I don't know if you can lose that much or not by Christmas but with your motivation it sound like you can do anything you set your mind to......LOL
