Spending the Day With My Daughter and Infant Grandson

Friday, August 27, 2010

Yesterday, at noon, after my stress test, I went to the home of my daughter and spent the day with her and my one month old grandson, Devan. In between nursing and changing Devan, we managed to shop in various stores, and we ended up having dinner at Friendly's. I did not arrive back home 'til 9:30PM. It was an enjoyable way to spend the day, especially since my husband and I plan to depart this Sunday 10/29, for our trip to the British Isles. We won't return 'til Sept. 23rd. I am sure that by then, Devan will have grown quite a lot. emoticon

Excited to think I might be able to meet Shirley Saul at Stonehenge on Thursday 2nd September. The 1 hr assumes I do not get stuck behind a tractor or similar as the A30 goes from dual carriageway to single & can be very slow just before Stonehenge. It is only about 1 hour from where I live in Sherborne, Dorset (ancient town, lovely abbey - look it up on its web site). I have bought a bunch of red fake flowers to wave at Shirley so she can recognise me. Hope she will not feel so much of an idiot as I will do!! Wish me luck!

What a great day you had with your daughter and grandson :) They grow so fast, don't they?

I haven't been to the British Isles in years. My son & his fiancee went to Ireland last fall and hope to return again soon. I really would like to go back to Wales and see my cousins. Wonder if they'd mind if I tagged along?! hehe
