Starting Week 5.......

Monday, August 23, 2010

Wow, it's going kinda quick. I really want to be down another 7-10 pounds at the end of the 6 weeks - and I'm realizing that won't happen. Then we go off to vacation and I hope and pray it doesn't all come back. DH was nice this morning, said we'll look for fresh fruit stands and only eat when we are hungry. That's the best part of our vacation plans - NO FOOD PLANS!!! Just 1 planned dinner out for the whole week. Usually when on vacation, every social event seemed to center around food. I am SO glad that won't happen this time. He also reminded me that we are going to be doing a lot of walking. Can't wait!!!

I am enjoying this lifestyle change a LOT more than I dreamed, and like my buddy Dale says I'll take a loss every 5 days as long as there continues to be a loss!

Your renewed enthusiasm is catching. I'm determined to shift my pounds by my next birthday. That gives me just over 6 months to recreate myself for the big "5-0"!!! About time and definitely do-able!!! emoticon

Sounds like you are going to have a great vacation! emoticon
After missing several of my own Spark deadlines, I've learned to just take it one pound at a time. As long as the scale keeps moving down, I won't complain about the pace............

Heather maybe you should invest in a pedometer and see how many steps you take on your vacation. Walking is great exercise so you may even lose while on vacation. Wouldn't that be great!! I hope you'll still check in SP while you're away, I may need my good buddy for support. Besides you can tell us about all the fun you're having. emoticon

Yes, Heather, a loss is a loss is a loss...don't get discouraged. You have done GREAT! Think about the other 'PROS', besides that number on the scale! How much better you feel, how much energy you have, etc.....((((HUGS))))
