Being Stuck in a Plateau SUCKS!!!!!

I've been stuck in this plateau for months and the longer I stay on it, the harder it is to stay focused. Don't get me wrong, I'm NOT ready to give up and from doing all my research I knew that this was coming but was hoping it wouldn't have lasted as long as it has.

I've been stuck between 175 and 179 for three months. I have googled plateaus and all the articles mention either changing the amount of calories you eat or changing your workout. Well, I've tried changing the food intake (both by adding and taking away calories) and that hasn't worked. I've been putting off changing my workout routine for fear of not enjoying my new routine and putting on the weight again, however, I think it's time!!!!

My current routine:

Sundays - off
Mondays - Step Interval Class - 50 mins (this class involves both step and strength training)
Tuesdays - Cardio Kickboxing - 50 mins
Wednesdays - Step Class - 50 mins
Thursdays - Kickboxing (using the bag and gloves) - 50 mins
Fridays - Treadmill run - 60 mins (5 mins warm-up, run 50 mins, 5 mins cool-down)
Saturdays - off


As of next week (8/22/10), my new routine will be:

Sundays - Full Body Strength Training - 60 mins
Mondays - Bootcamp - 60 mins
Tuesdays - Bootcamp - 60 mins
Wednesdays - Step Class - 50 mins
Thursdays - Full Body Strength Training - 60 mins
Fridays - Treadmill run - 60 mins (5 mins warm-up, run 50 mins, 5 mins cool-down)
Saturdays - off

I'm going to try this new routine for about the next 8 weeks. I sure hope it works!!!!!
