The Stress Busting Challenge: Day 4
Friday, August 20, 2010
Ya know, I just realized I'm not supposed to have to do this every day, just three times a week. But I'm going to keep this up (knock on wood) cause I just know I'll slack off otherwise.
Yesterday was school shopping--need I say more? I got 2-inch binders for my niece in Ft. Smith cause I didn't think that they would have them in our town, a good thing too! By the time I got to our local Wallyworld it had been picked over like crazy. I luckily found another binder smaller than 3 inches (she needed 1 more regular binder turns out) and was able to get most of her supplies after going back and forth through the isles that they are currently moving almost every day lol. At least it's always an adventure, right?
At work we got a call asking us if we had gotten a form because it was due tomorrow (today actually) and I hadn't seen hide nor hair of it. Luckily we were able to get it filled out and turned in today.
Our fire danger is going up--we actually put out a Burn Ban today until further notice. At this point there are about 40 Counties in the state of Arkansas under Burn Bans. For us, we're drying out but it's the winds that have us worried a bit. There is little rain forecast to help out in the next week, and folks tend to go out and burn when it rains just a bit, not realizing how little the rain helped the conditions.
Last night was home again and more paperwork to fill out. The beginning of the year always has a ton to read. This year they're doing random drug test for the highschoolers. Not a bad thing, but it adds to all the stuff in the handbook to read :-)
