I am done with week 8!!! Feeling pretty awesome about that :)

Today's run was decent. We got out earlier, so it wasn't nearly as hot. The park was more crowded than usual, which is annoying, but manageable. I didn't feel like I was dragging butt like I did earlier in the week. Its still a struggle and sometimes I can really feel all 237lbs I'm carrying with me. It can be frustrating to see my 130lb running buddy bouncing along like its the easiest thing in the world. Oh well, I'm still doing it!

I figured I'm at about 17 min miles...nothing impressive. Now that we're done "building up" to the 30 minutes (since week 9 is all 30s) maybe we can shift to focusing on speeding it up a bit. I dunno, I'm still trying to figure out my "post-C25k graduation plan" haha.

Anyway, emoticon Yay for finishing week 8! emoticon

emoticon W8D3 DONE!! You are doing fantastic!! I know what you mean & how you feel when you mentioned looking at your 130 lb running buddy bouncing along...I felt that way several times with the girls in my C25k run group. I was the heaviest and oldest chick. Guess what? I also was the one that made the most improvement AND at the race, I was only 1-2 minutes behind the skinniest girl in our group (at least 40 lighter than me) AND I beat the youngest runner by 6 mins!

I hope your post C25k graduation plan include running your 1st 5k race!!

8 weeks? Wow! I need to start running soon, but right now I'm in the "baby stages" of walking/light jogging, lol. Running burns so many unwanted calories!
