Using Tools

Wednesday, August 18, 2010

I am so happy to be using so many of the tools I've spent years thinking about, purchasing, and looking at in a guilty way. For instance, a few months ago I bought a nutritional scale (Biggest Loser for Taylor Scales) that gives me so much information and makes my calorie tracking a cinch. I'm writing down my food in a food journal instead of worrying about putting it up on Sparkpeople, but I'll do that too if I have time.

Feeling awesome about my new setup in our kitchen at home, too.

I woke up hungry for the first time in a long time this morning. That is a really good sign. I'm proud of myself for eating reasonably yesterday.

Just had lunch and it was really delicious. I used the food scale to figure out exact calories and amounts for the fresh fruit and veggies I'm eating. Its nice not to guess what size they are but to actually know. I am going to try to do this for everything I eat for the rest of the week. I'll have to pack some food in the chance that I'm working outside of the house tomorrow or Friday. I'd like to wake up earlier to do this but first I have to convince myself to go to bed earlier!
