WEEK 9 WRMC (Wave Runners Mini Challenge) … New Beginnings:

What Is It?
New Beginnings is a plan to get us back on track to losing weight by recreating the basic steps Spark endorses that lead to good habits of staying fit physically, mentally and emotionally. This challenge will be done in stages. Week 9 (stage 1) focuses on nutrition.

Stage 1: Nutrition
The object is to track EVERYTHING we eat – all our meals, snacks, and beverages. Not only will we track total calorie intake but we are required to track “The Essential Ten” … calories, fat, carbs, protein, sodium, cholesterol, fiber, iron, potassium and calcium. We all know that tracking our nutrition is essential but if the numbers we are tracking are based on underrated/overrated goals the end result will be less than optimal result for our efforts! To this end, we are asked to re-evaluate our nutritional goals and reset them if they need to be. All this sounds like hard work but in addition to the long term benefit of establishing and maintaining healthy lifestyle habits, we will be rewarded certain number of points for carrying out the different required actions as listed in the template below:

Nutrition Page:
• How Do I Use This Page: Date done = 8/15/10 ... (25 points)
• Change Nutrition Goals: Date done = 8/15/10 ... (25 points)

Set Your Diet Goals:
• Calculate your BMI: Date done = 8/15/10 ... (25 points)
• Set Your Weight Goal: Date done = 8/15/10 ... (25 points)
• Use the Need Help option: Date done = 8/15/10 ... (25 points)

Did you set your Nutritional Tracker for The Essential Ten? Yes = 8/15/10 ... (125 points)

BONUS:
“How is your mood and energy affected by what and how much you eat?” Use Add A Note feature to Today’s Nutritional Notes (50 points per day, 250 MAX points):
