Rainbows; no water; I'm gonna make it!!!!!

Sunday, August 15, 2010

First, let me just thank all my SP's for the encouragement and prayers. I just login to get "lifted up" by my SPers.

Today my Mom wanted us to get to the hospital by 8:30am because they were going to discharge my Dad. I saw a rainbow on the way and that was very comforting. God is so good...with all the things He has to take care of He put me on the list and reminded me of His love with the rainbow.
Well, we made it there by 9 am. He didn't get discharged until around 5pm. Long day.
Lots of relatives waiting for us.
Now we have to learn how to take care of him. He's got over 24 pills to take a day and 4 injections a day. Lung transplants are serious business.

While I was at the hospital, our water connection to the house broke. But, my husband handled it after some info from me - who is our plumber...where is the checkbook.

But you know what I did before I went to the hospital today...I ran my first day of week 4 of C25K. Yes!!!! I really did it!!!! I had to run 3 min, walk 1.5 min, run 5 min (yeah five whole!!!!), walk 2.5 min, run 3 min, walk 1.5 min, and run 5 min, walk 7.5 min. I never ever thought I would be able to run 5 minutes with such ease...okay some of you probably could walk faster than I can run...but that's okay.
I did it!
I did it!
I did it!
Yeah me! Yeah me! Yeah me!
I'm gonna make it!
I'm gonna make it!
I'm gonna make it!

WOW NIMMYT, you are doing intervals and I have heard they really help to drop the pounds. I am so glad your Dad is improving. There is a lady in our church that needs a lung transplant.

Getting in your exercise is one way to reduce everyday stressors. May God heal your father and be with you and your family as you take care of him.

Congratulations! You ran 5 minutes! It doesn't matter how fast you run as long as one foot is going in front of the other YOUR RUNNING!! emoticon

My prayers are still with your family and remember you and your father is in God's hands. What better place to be.
