30 Day Shred: Day 9 (6)

So my counting is off, because I did a "Day 5" twice! Wow, 9 days in! I can say that I'm definitely going to be ready for Level 2 by Day 10, because I'm already pushing through and able to do more. And no "phoning it in!"

Today I achieved a Personal Best 19 regular pushups! I didn't go down as far as possible, but I went down decently far and did 19 quality regular pushups. The second set was all knee pushups. I can feel that I am much stronger than before.

If you figure that I'm also at my heaviest weight ever, that's even more impressive, because I have more body weight to lift and, that means that some of the weight is muscle. I'd be really buff except for that pesky layer of fat emoticon Hah!

Well, today I had a very active day. I got up at 6:30, read for a little while, prayed better than I have in quite some time, about 20 minutes. Then I got my @ss out of the house, ran errands on my bike for about an hour and came up with all sorts of excuses not to get to the OA meeting at 9:30 (I don't work on Fridays).
But you know what? By the grace of Gd I went. It was just myself and 2 other ladies. I really liked the small group.

I feel so much better getting a little bit off of my chest, and I only had a small urge to overeat. In fact, I was so busy and happy I did not experience much hunger today. Of course by the time I got around to eating lunch at around 3 pm (bad, I know) then I was very hungry.

A friend is having a large potluck meal for her birthday tonight. The meal is not going to begin until close to 9 p.m., which has the benefit of eliminating the risk that I will have late night munchies. I would like to have a small post-workout snack to tide me over, but I'm already at about 1400 calories for the day, so I want to just chill out and work on relaxing (it's hard for me!) and to enter the meal calmly.
