30 Day Shred: Day 5 (3)

I did 20 minutes of high-intensity (like 30DS intensity) cardio before the DVD today, because I figure I burns less than 200 calories doing 30DS, and that is not enough.
Of course, that made the cardio a bit more challenging, but at Level 1, I could stick with it.
I brought in my heavier weights, 5kg (12 lbs) for the large muscle exercises like rows and chest flies, and with my lighter weights, 2kg (4.4 lbs) doing the last set of straight arm lifts was impossible to complete.
I'd say that's the major downside to this workout - assuming that you should use the same weight for all exercises. But of course a basic of strength training is that you use heavier weights for larger muscles and lighter weights for smaller muscles.
Anyways, I was able to complete 17 regular pushups and then a second set of 15 knee pushups.
I feel like I got in a really good workout.

I will probably do a good amount of walking in addition tonight because I'm going out to eat and / or to a festival in town. Though I feel like I rot at my desk at work, my walk to the office in the morning, midday walk, walk back, and some exercise in the p.m. I'm sure is good, because it's best to scatter exercise throughout the day, if possible.
Now that I'm at Day 3 again, I hope to stick with this, though I think I would really like to take one day off each week, even if it's an active rest day, to let my body recover and to mix it up more.
