In slow motion

Tuesday, August 10, 2010

These are turtle days.

These are snail days.

Not only is it hot, but my body is fighting my will and my mind. You could say: "Well, use mind over matter." But, that is not what is the matter.

Pain will put a person into slow mo. But you know what.
That is ok.
I am still moving. Just slower. I am still moving, not as much but a little is better than nothing.

So this is a turtle day, where I can't stick out my neck too much, literally.

Walking and doing my stretches, uh huh, oh yeah. I am moving - I am doing the snail dance, the turtle trot. I am taking it easy, but I am still moving.

Now, I will sleep.

I can identify with your pain and moving with turdle pace.
As long as we are moving, we are making progress. I had spine surgery and I have days like these. The one thing that I have learned is, if I don't move, I get very sore, stiff and achey.

I admire what you did today. emoticon for you!

Dancing is good for you, Snail's pace, Turtle's pace, it makes no difference. You're still dancing! Go for it my friend! Gentle Hugs... emoticon
