Tips for promoting a positive outlook and achieving sustained weight loss
1. Begin with Baby Step
2. Focus on Behavior change not on how much Weight you are going to lose
3. Learn from your mistakes
4. Find Someone to Follow
5. Get Lots of Reinforcement
6. Focus on changing patterns and not on someone else's diet regime.
7. Reward Yourself
8. Learn to be grateful for what you have.
9.Always have a sense of humor
10. Believe you are in charge of your own destiny.

    I am guilty of the scale madness... I vow not to get on the scale until next friday!!! (or thursday)... :D if I fall off the scale wagon... i will fully admit to it. haha

    HEY DANA..I cna't figure out how to use my email feature on the spark pages but I wanted to send you these links. I know you mentioned in another post about alzehiemers in your family and I have it in mine too. Not to be alarmist or anything but I subscribe to all these health newsleters and wanted to send you these on the fact on aspartame....which is a deadly neuortoxin and in so much of our food. (AND DIET SODA!!)

    I have a sister who is having some problems with memory and such and I also just got this newsletter, just FYI. about over the counter meds that increase brain /memory damage.

    Ok I simply love it when the SIMPLEST thing a person might say totally makes a HUGE lightbulb moment. Like when you just said, EVERY TIME we learn something new about ourselves! It SOOOOOOO makes me have so much more faith in myself that this weight will eventually come off. I mean come on, ONE of these times I'm gonna have all the pieces I need!!! YAY!!! I think the Vlogging club is a WONDERFUL idea. Would love to be interactive with everybody else!

    Your vlogs always make me so happy :) I have been feeling poopy all day--combination of the car tow, plus Pat revealing to me that the bachelor party he is planning may be on my BIRTHDAY (WTF). Whatever--I will blog about it tomorrow!

    But you brought me out of my funk! I definitely like the idea that your progress is not only measured by the scale.

    Number 10 is something I need to start to live by--I am having some trouble swallowing my new grad student lifestyle, but it is my choice.
