Fat Smash Detox Day 3 of 9: Today was a DOOZY!!

Wednesday, August 04, 2010

Our Air conditioner went out in our house yesterday. This would not be a huge issue if I didn't live in Texas. But I DO Live in Southeast Texas and the heat index today reached 110 degrees. I tried twice to get my workout in but it was really just too hot to work out. :-( At the hottest part of the day today it was literally 102 degrees inside my house. Sweltering.

I don't so much feel like a failure for missing a workout, I just was doing so great and I feel like I let something get in my way. It's silly really and I've been a little hard on myself for it, which I was really trying to work on.

I ate AWESOMELY today. I figured if I wasn't going to at least work out I had better eat flawlessly. I did at least reach that goal.

Breakfast was a banana and yogurt.

Morning Snack was watermelon

Lunch was some garden vegetable soup and a salad with some fat free wasabi dijon dressing.

Afternoon snack was greek yogurt, blueberries and blackberries and strawberries.

Dinner was Beans, brown rice, a salad with fat free balsamic dressing, and some watermelon.

I came within my range on calories but was a little high on carbs and fiber and kind of low on fat and protein.

I have 6 more days of the detox program and honestly I can't wait to be done. I have really wanted to eat at least some chicken breast for the protein but it's not allowed. I may eat a gardenburger patty tomorrow to see if that helps the meat cravings some. It's not technically allowed on the program but at least it's not meat.

We got the AC fixed today so I will be back on the exercise wagon tomorrow, so I'm happy about that. It really helps to relieve stress when I get my workouts in.

Hope everyone has a great night!

Congrats on staying within your calorie range and eating so well! I think the foods you choose were awesome considering the heat outside and how they sound so refreshing. Don't worry about missing a workout or two. The whole point is to make your body a healthier you, and that includes not getting heat stroke. emoticon I think you are doing great!
