It's really working!

Wednesday, August 04, 2010

It's funny, because if I can't believe this will work, why am I doing it?! But here I am, exercising like I haven't in years. I'm getting back to that place where my body *wants* to move - instead of just feeling accomplished that I exercised (which I do) and being done for the day, I'm ready for more. Another walk with the dogs, whatever, I'm up for it. I've missed that feeling so much! Now the scale is moving along briskly too. I can feel the difference in my body and clothes so much that it shouldn't matter - but of course it does. It's just so rewarding to see that happy number on the scale.

I'm starting to dare to hope that I'll really make my goal.

As always, thank you so much to SP and all the great people on it.

Yes! You CAN do this and you're well on your way. Hope you didn't let one bad day get the best of you. No one does this perfectly, because that's not life, not reality. I had a whole bad month- and then just had to pull it back together and resume trying from where I had left off.

You deserve this though, Nancy. You're working really hard and there's no reason you shoudn't get to your goal. As you get closer, it might take a little longer for a lot of reasons- less body fat, more emotional resistance to being at goal, maybe even a little more sabbotaging. But it's ok, keep picking yourself up and giving it what you've got when you've got it. I'm first line in your cheering squAD. Tell you what. You make it to 130s, or where you want to be, and I'll post that picture of my abs!
