Fat Smash Detox Day 2 of 9: Still Going STRONG!

Tuesday, August 03, 2010

Today was a pretty fabulous day.

I woke up to Steel cut oats cooked in the rice cooker. I put them in there with apples and cinnamon last night before I went to bed and set the delay cycle on Porridge and you should have SMELLED my kitchen when I woke up! YUM! I had them with a cup of herbal tea with some Truvia( Natural calorie free sweetener made from Stevia)

This was my second morning without coffee and I survived. I miss the sweetness of it some. I used to use a TON Of coffee mate in my coffee and it was loaded with sugar, fat and calories. Not a good start for the day. I honestly think that since cutting out the coffee in the morning my sugar cravings during the rest of the day have gone down some. I think when you start your morning with a huge shot of sugar you set yourself up for nutritional disasters over the course of the day.

My morning snack was a cup of Activia light vanilla yogurt over a cut up banana. The two flavors together were positively yummy.

Lunch was a half a cup of 15 bean soup over a half a cup of brown rice, very filling.

Afternoon snack was a smoothie with mango, pineapple, strawberries, yogurt, and lowfat high protein milk. Utterly delicious.

Today's workout was Shaun T's Rockin Body House Your Body. 45 minutes of dance cardio, followed by Turbo Jam 2o minute workout. I burned 648 calories from working out today.

Last week I averaged about 1200-1500 calories a day from working out but I really think it was severe overkill because I was both exhausted all the time and starving. I've scaled back some this week and feel a LOT better.

I'm still kicking @ss though and taking names. :-)

Dinner tonight will be a big veggie stir fry and I even bought some Extra Firm Tofu I'm going to try cooking in my stir fry for the extra protein. I'll have the stir fry over brown rice of course and follow it all up with some watermelon and cantaloupe salad.

Maybe tomorrow I'll start photoblogging my food. I wish you could see how beautiful my food is now! It's awesome!

Hope everyone else is having a great week! Keep Sparkin'!!
