Weekend here I come...

It's Thursday afternoon and my weekend has officially started. I struggle over most weekends and this one may be extra tough. My birthday is tomorrow and we are having a party on Saturday to celebrate. We have planned a pretty healthy menu with a fresh peach and oatmeal cobbler instead of cake, but I fear that something in me is already trying to compromise. Telling myself I deserve to endulge.... It's a bit out of my comfort zone to request support. But that's what I'm doing. Maybe hearing from my fellow Panthers over the weekend will help me remember that what I really deserve is the change to a healthier happier me!

    Coni is so right. Focus on the day and not the food. You are making special memories that shouldn't be overshadowed by food. You are already making good decisions so this is just another one. ;)

And like Jen said, think of this lifestyle change as a present...but not only for yourself, but for all your family and friends, so that you all have SEVERAL more years together to celebrate!     emoticon Don't compromise. Just make healthier, conscious choices. I ate a whole pizza last week, but it didn't kill my diet because a) I planned for it and b) I made a healthier pizza choice by getting California Pizza Kitchen instead of Slice of Life around the corner. You're already making healthier choices with the cobbler instead of cake. Take it easy and enjoy your day. Don't overthink it. You're doing great! Keep up the good work! emoticon

    Try to focus on the day not on the food. This is a very special day, the day the world got you as a gift. Celebrate. You will have family and friends, concentrate on the company, conversations and LOVE that will be around you.
