Yup, that's right.... I had me some veggies for breakfast. I had a 1/2 cup of cucumbers along with some oatmeal with a banana mixed in. (The oatmeal was made from Quaker oats.) For the Biggest Loser challenge this week we have a freggies challenge going on. I usually have no problem getting in my fruits and veggies but thought.... why not have some veggies in the morning. The cucumber was refreshing and a very different taste for my morning routine. Maybe tomorrow I will incorporate broccoli with my breakfast!
But having such a great filling breakfast has me ready to go! I am lifting weights today and incorporating some cardio into it as well. Should be a great workout!

So cool! I commented about this in my weekly tip. You can't go wrong with freggies when you start out at breakfast. Growing up, my parents would cut up tomatoes & cucumbers and serve them at practically any meal. Fresh tomatoes from the garden...yum! Protein is always really important too and you can get really creative when making vegetable omelettes. Personally, I don't like mushrooms or peppers. But you can make an awesome veggie omelette with artichokes, tomatoes, onion, broccoli...I'm sure there's other veggies I could add there, but those are amongst my favorites. Just add a little mexican cheese and bacon, and you have one awesome omelette. 3824 days ago
JEN_BACK2BASICS Way to mix things up!! I need to get some shopping done tonight - the only vegetable I have left in my house is lettuce. Oh, and two ears of fresh-picked corn, yummy! (But those are for dinner tonight.)
I've got purple, red, and orange down! Need to get white and green taken care of with dinner. Yummy salad, maybe with hearts of palm...extra yum! 3825 days ago
