Thoughts for August

Thursday, July 29, 2010

August is going to be a big month for me. While I'm still living at my parents house, there is still a lot going on. I've been with my boyfriend for 6 months now and hopefully in August we'll be able to start planning another get together (he lives in different state than me). Might even tell my parents about him soon, but that's another topic. To get back to the blog topic... Here are some things going on in August.

I start last set of classes for the health science associates degree from South University. All I have left is Microbiology with Lab.

Boyfriend's birthday is the 4th.

Have job interview the 4th for a teacher's assistant position at the local elementary school. I even have some qualifications for it, unlike the last job interview I had.

Continue internship, getting more experience in the publishing world.

Host a children book author on my blog for her blog tour.

Hosting blogfest on the 27th where people will post descriptive scenes. It's called word paint and is on my DawnEmbers.blogspot.com blog.

August 28th is my birthday. I will be 26. Am going to decorate my own cake, maybe to look like a laptop, and will make cupcakes.

And like always I'll be working on writing novels. Have to get ready for the Rocky Mountain Fiction Conference that is in September. Don't have writing goals yet but they're going to be big. Really want to finish YA novel rewrite and get closer to finishing paranormal romance first draft. If I can finish the Angel/Demon first draft then I might let myself start a new, steampunk idea. In november, I write Michael's book in the mutant convoluted series. Yay for writing.

Going to be a busy month.

Your boyfriend and my wife share a birthday... along with the President. Gwen is still hoping that Obama will be the best president ever so their birthday will become a national holiday.

Thank you for hosting blog tours. They seem to be the wave of the future for author guest spots.

I hope you have a great time at the Rocky Mountain Fiction Conference. I'll look at it for Gwen (her book just came out), but we're broke at the moment.
