A Boat Ride

Saturday, July 24, 2010

I got together with a group today and paddled a canoe for 6 miles. We joined with another woman and only fell in twice. It is good to go with a group because people always helped us get out of the drink. Napoleon and Josephine did well. She slept though the first part of the trip. Napoleon stayed nervous even before he found himself swimming. We made it home safely. We shall all sleep well tonight!

Sounds like you had a good time. I tried to open this Sat. night and it would not open. My computer had issues over the weekend. Hope the rest of your weekend was juat as fun. Take it easy in the heat.

    God Bless you

I used to love to float! We would take the kids/later the grandchildren and go once or twice a year and go for hours down the Steele or Meramac Rivers and have a blast squirting each other with super-duper squirt guns and racing to see who could get to the lunch spot the quickest to stop, eat, swim, and rest before we made it to the finish! The plan was to wear out the children but I think the adults always wore out before they did! We usually stayed for 2 or 3 nights @ a campsite as our relatives from IL came down to float with us. That was before my RA took a toll on my joints, back, hands, feet, and so on. Now I let the younger ones go. When my husband's parents were alive, I'd stay in their air conditioned camper, but I can't handle the heat or the ground!

Glad you had fun and I'm sure you had a good night's sleep. Know that I still pray for you daily. Remember that you are blessed to be a blessing to others. God bless you and yours and take care.

LOL... you gotta love canoes! Just when you think all is well they dump you in the drink!

    Thanks for sharing.
