Lack of energy

I don't think I realized how nervous I was about DH's surgery... although there was no real reason to be. Also being at the surgery center at 6:15 and then making sure DH had all his meds and ice packs on time. Plus, the surgeon recommended he sleep in a recliner for a couple of nights for greater support for his shoulder. I wasn't going to sleep alone in another room, so I slept, fitfully, on the couch. The massage I had this afternoon really revealed to me how tightly I was wound. I suppose these are all really excuses for two days without any cardio. I am just too tired... fell asleep watching tennis (my favorite sport to watch) this afternoon. I hope I feel better tomorrow. DH seems to feel great! Hasn't taken the full dose of pain pills and seems to be doing just fine!

    I'm so glad your DH is doing so well, but now you need to take care of you, and not feel guilty for whatever you haven't done. If you're tired, you're tired, and need the rest.
    Your schedule will return to 'normal' soon enough.

    There is no wisdom in writing checks your butt literally can't cash ;) If your body is craving rest and sleep and downtime, then that's what it (and your soul) needs. Don't let your mind intrude on that rest with thoughts about the cardio you should be doing or what it thinks is best for you according to it's supremely fallible logic. More tennis watching I say!
