2 weeks until.....

I have two weeks before I return to work. I teach and I am due back behind my desk on August 4. School will begin Monday 8:30, on August 9.
I have spoiled myself rotten this summer getting all used to going to the gym in the AM and working til my heart's content. I will have to step back into the old routine (which I loathed) of going in the afternoon right after work, fighting traffic, getting my entire workout in, AND getting to my daughter's school in time to pick her up before 6pm (and the $5 a minute late charge). I am going to arrange with my husband to pick her up on Monday and Tuesday afternoons (he works out of town and leaves Wed. mornings), so I don't have to gip myself in the gym. My daughter's soccer team begins practices on the 13th, and I love getting in the game with them! Weekends are MY time and I can go in the AM on Saturday.
I do, however, like that I will be getting back on a regular eating schedule again. 6am- Breakfast, 10:30am - snack 12:45pm -- lunch, 3:30 -- snack.
It has been harder to behave this summer than I thought it would be. If I didn't keep busy, it was tempting to graze. Planning and making my own lunches will get me back into the "taking care of me" mode that kept me on track.
Then, of course, there is the bedtime situation. My daughter and I have both become a little spoiled there as well. I have let her stay up a little later than normal here and there, and I have been getting into the bad habit of going to bed when I feel like it instead of when I should.
I never used to think about things like this.... I just got bummed I couldn't veg out and sleep all morning. I am actually making arrangements and figuring out the logistics to ensure both my daughter AND I are able to get where we need to go and do what is necessary. My progress means everything to me; I don;t want to stop :)
What a difference a year makes.......
