YAY! Celebrating..I finally ran 5Km , outside!! It took 34 minutes, okay, I didn't break any land speed records, but I finally proved to myself I could run this distance.
Jan.1 , 2010: major activity: coach potato. I declared " until I see a jogger go by me with a smile, I WON'T be doing THAT"
Feb. 2, 2010: found and joined SparkPeople. Set goal to loose 100lbs, get healthy by eating right and getting some exercise
March. 15, 2010: Started couch to 5K program on my treadmill
June 11, 2010: Ran first 5K on treadmill
June 15: signed up at local running room to learn to run outside
June 20: moved to 5K group
July 23, ran 5K outside, 34 min. I became that jogging smiling while they ran..It felt SO good!!!
I am living proof if you set long term goals ( me: 100lbs, run 5K race in Sept.), then set lots of short term goals, celebrate those successes...
Lean on your Sparkfriends for those tough days,,,,,keep your eye on the prize and BELIEVE you can do it.....YOU WILL!!
I do not recognize the person in some of my earlier pics...Not just physically, but mentally as well. I am calmer, more energized, positive, organized. etc etc etc..
I've said it before , but it's worth repeating...Honestly..if I can do this..YOU CAN TOO!! Believe
