Sometimes inspiration to go on and achieve your goals comes from a unlikely place...
Several weeks ago my 13 year old asked if she could go to work with her grandmother, who works part-time for Weight Watchers. I thought it would be a great idea, as she struggles with eating healthy and her weight. I figured that she might learn a thing or two about what good eating habits are, and how important it is for us to get up and move. Well just as her grandmother and I thought this was her turning point. Since that first day she has done a complete 360. She is more conscious of everything she puts in her mouth, and has been exercising (not every day but more that what she used to).
A week after she started with this I figured I would join her. So we challenged each other, and so far we each have dropped 5 pounds. I know it is not much, but I have been struggling alot lately and to me it seems like a world of difference. I think that this is what it took for me to say "Enough. I need to do something different this time". I can honestly say that I am more conscious of what I eat, and actually look forward to my walks with my daughter.
Our first goal together is to get to a healthy place and stay there. Then we need to get my hubby on board, but we have to take baby steps...
