"Lazy" Day

Monday, July 19, 2010

I had a very slow start to my day. Since my hubby had to leave for work at 6:30, I wasn't able to run. And, I had thought about taking my dd to the park, but it started raining at 7:15. We've gotten a lot of rain the past 2 days!

So, I spent a couple of hours on the internet... part of it researching Spanish programs. I homeschool my dd and she'll be taking a Spanish 2 class in the fall. She's taken Spanish twice, but it's been a few years. Well, I found a program and she LOVED it and played it for 2 hours! We ended up playing other computer games, too, which we don't do very often. So, at noon, we were still in our PJs! Quite a difference from my 6:30 am workouts lately!

After lunch and "rest time" (I nap/she watches TV), we went to see Despicable Me. She really enjoyed it. I thought it was OK. Then, we went to the grocery store, ate dinner, cleaned kitchen, and went to the Y. We did our 2nd Zumba class and really enjoyed it. I forgot my HRM.. yet again! After Zumba, we did two 10 minute sessions on cardio equipment. So, I ended up doing a little over an hour's workout which I'm recording as 350 calories.

I decided to get up at 5:15 and head to the Y to run on their indoor track in the morning. I have to be back by 6:30, but I can do it! I'm determined! I just better remember my HRM as I still haven't run with it on yet!

Hope everyone had a healthy day! (Oh, and I ate more than usual which I think has to do with not working out in the morning so I wasn't as motivated to eat well. But, I was still well within my calorie range - I just didn't make as good of choices!)

That time with you dd yesterday sounds like such fun! Isn't it great to be able to do things like that with your kids?
