Report on the workout.

There were about 600 people there - which is not bad for the first 45 minute event. I had heard there were 500 pre-registered online. The weather must have affected the turn out - it was very hot and no air really moving in the stadium. I had volunteered to help with the pre-activities - there were about 50 of us.

We were primarily in the shade. Modified workouts were provided which helped those that had knee and back limitations. Water was made available - thank goodness because of the extreme heat.

My reaction to the workout - it was good, good leaders, variety in levels. The last 15 minutes of the workout was a track walk/jog/run. Because of the heat it was gruelling. Even though it was gruelling, I would participate again. Maybe a better time to have the event is in June when it might be slightly cooler.

I agree about having the workout in June or May when it might be cooler. I enjoyed myself, even though I got "turf" all over me! LOL Next time I'm going to encourage my friends and family to get out there any sweat!!

That was quite a turnout. I know it was fun. Maybe next year it will be in a cooler month... I know the heat was a bit much, though. I am glad they had plenty of water for you all. It sounds like the leaders and organizers did a good job. I know you had a good time. emoticon
