Feels great to get moving!

Sunday, July 18, 2010

Ok, this morning was my first official exercise since being in the hospital last month. I mentioned before that we just don't live in an area where I can go for walks. So this morning, just after sunrise, my 16 yr old and I drove to a park and walked around the bike path. Ok, so it wasn't even a mile, but it sure felt GREAT to be moving!!!

Tomorrow I hope to do 2 laps or more. Today I only did one because my shorts kept riding up and my thighs were rubbing together too much, lol. I figured I'd better stop before I pay dearly with raw inner thighs. But with all the hills, at least I broke a sweat and got my heart rate up. Woohoo!!!

So as long as I can be home before hubby has to leave for work, I am going to try to go every morning.

Way to go!!! That is an awesome thing you've started! Because you have to get out of the house at a certain time and be back in order for your husband to not be knocked of his schedule!! That is so helpful to you! Also, I KNOW about thigh chaffing and it is NOT fun! I would suggest that you buy exercise shorts that are almost down to your knees... they don't ride up as far and you can enjoy your walk SO much more!!

    Happy Walking!

That's great! I'm just starting to get back into the swing of things again too. How did you feel afterward? As long as you're feeling ok, keep it up! But don't push yourself too much too soon, as I tend to do (why do I always have to re-learn that lesson???)
