I'm DONE!!!! ....What an awesome Day!

I don't even know where to start. I've been MIA for exactly 20 days now....One day, I just stopped tracking my food. What happened? I don't know. Maybe it was a busy schedule (lame excuse), maybe I just plain got lazy (worse)....but maybe I wanted to see how I could survive on my own.

I had been with SparkPeople for 6 months and have learned so much about food, exercising, motivation, commitment, persistence, and the list goes on. I've followed some amazing SparkFriends on their journeygetting some awesome inspiration for keep going on my own journey. So after 6 months, was I ready? It happened from one day to another...no planning, no fretting, no fear! I was 2 lbs away from my goal, which by the way, I had adjusted a couple of times. My original goal was to get down from 170 to 137. Once I reached the goal, I felt I wasn't ready yet and in order to keep tracking, SparkPeople "made" me adjust my goal weight. How cool would it be to be in the 120's? I can't remember ever been that low...at least not in my adult life.

Today, I was selected to be the Done Girl for the Day!!!! I received so many comments on my page and I'm truly humbled. I never saw myself as being motivational to anyone. Thank you everyone!

It also happens to be the day that I reached my goal weight!! Again!! That's right, after 20 days "on my own" I still managed to lose 2 lbs! I didn't try to lose any weight. My goal was to maintain. I weigh myself quite frequently just to make sure I'm not going the wrong direction.

Oh! There's more! Today, is also the very FIRST day that I'm wearing size 2 (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!) jeans!! WHAT?!?! When did this happen? I started at a (tight)10-12 and now I'm wearing size 2? No, I'm not a size 2 person. I'm really not. My pants might be, but I'm not. When I think of a size 2 person, I picture a really skinny, no curves kind of person, and that's not me. I bought the jeans on sale and didn't know they were size 2...the Gap sizing kinda confused me :-) 26/2, who woulda known..hehe. They were tight, but I could zip them up. With pretty much my entire wardrobe not fitting me anymore, I almost forgot how tight clothes feel. Today, I put on the jeans...wiggled a little, and decided to finally pull off the tags. Good thing that jeans strech a little when you wear them for a bit!

I'm done with so many things....done being a fat girl, done coming up with excuses for not workout out, done not including enough fruits and veggies in my diet....done, done, done!!!

Though I may be at my goal weight, I'm not stopping.....I will continue to make healthy choices as much as I can. Though I know that ice cream, beer, and wine will occasionally (ok, maybe not so occasionally in the summer) will be part of my diet. I have learned how to enjoy certain things in moderation and will strive to maintain.

I'm definitely NOT done working out. I love it! I love running! I love the feeling I get after a good workout, even if it's short. I love to sweat!!! That's right! I want to tone up my arms and thighs more...and my tummy, too. I know I may never be perfect. What is perfect anyway? But including exercise as part of my life is very important!
