Let it begin... again... with new focus...

10 months from last post... wow. Reading it I realize how ambitious I was, but not very realistic. Perhaps at the time, but not now :) I set myself up to fail often and decided to try a different approach this time around...

I connected w/a friend for the gym and we're almost through our first week. Yay us! It's great to have accountability especially so early in the morning. Another thing is mini goals. I start out with the plan to record all my food, work out 5 days a week, no pop or sugar, drink more water, and.... the list is long and exhausting to read, much less do. This time, it is what 1-2 things will I focus on THIS WEEK. At the end of the week, set a a new goal. Not that I revert from the previous goal, but I am setting clear habits or things I want to cut out of my life, and if nothing else, I know I can make it for a week.

This week is no pop and add water. Yesterday, day 2, was a horrible craving day and I had a Coke. Ya, I don't feel proud of that, but I told my exercise partner about it today and moved on. It's not about self crucifixion, but taking a step in right direction. It's not about derailment, but about slow and steady progress towards the overall goal of "right weighthood".

Am I determined? Yes. Am I motivated? Today, yes. Am I going to have more bad days? Hell yes! But the difference is that I will continue again in the right direction after falling by the way side. I will be accountable to my goals for the week and I will move forward.
