Loving my lap band WLS again!

When the doctor told me that he recommended taking .5 cc's out of my band on Friday, I was very nervous. To me, a tight band means it is working! I used to get SO hungry between meals with a looser band. And eat larger portions and crave bad foods. They explained to me how, with my band so tight, I was graduating towards slippery slide-y food that went through the band easily. Tuna fish salad. Oatmeal. Cheese. Soup. Pringles. Avocado. Hummus. Chocolate chip cookies. Because I was hungry and needed to eat SOMETHING and those foods went down without my feeling pain or discomfort or vomiting. So, they took .5 cc's out.
Once it got through my thick head that slippery foods are (by and large) not recommended - to eat SOLID protein sources 3x a day - I saw that it made sense - 15 months out from my surgery, lol..... AND I am not hungry between meals. :-) I eat slowly, and I don't even think about food in between meal times.
Finally things are good again. Now just need the scale to follow suit. lol.
