Ok, so I've been having some stomach problems lately. Some digestive issues lol. I actually have IBS but it's been bothering me a lot lately so I've decided that I'm going to add a goal for my daily fiber intake ^_^ Sorry if this is tmi, I'm trying to keep it fairly vague and not too many details lol. So spark says 25 - 35 grams of daily fiber, I'll go with that for now but going over is not a problem, just say 25 as a minimum ^_^ yesterday I got 20 so today I'm going to try and up it. I will be eating more whole grain breads and pastas, beans, and some really good kashi fruit and nut bars for snacks. They're pumpkin pie and raspberry chocolate and they each have 4 g of fiber in them, and they taste really good too, especially the pumpkin pie one ^_^ I did eat at McDonald's this morning, so horrible, and I usually get an egg mcmuffin and a chocolate muffin, I'm trying to avoid mcdonalds though, but today i got a fruit and fiber muffin instead of the chocolate, way better lol. I'm actually going to make some muffins at home, next weekend being the first free time I have to do it. I'll be making some kind of whole grain, bran, fiber filled muffins lol. I haven't decided yet. I'd appreciate some suggestions for recipes ^_^ I want to make a big batch so I can freeze them and then just heat them in the microwave in the morning for a real quick healthy breakfast. If I come across any real good recipes I'll post it in a blog for you guys as well.

I'm heading to the cottage this weekend so I'm going to stop and pick some up high fiber snacks to have there because my family always has basically meat and potatoes for dinner, or hamburgers and hot dogs. Their diet is not great at the cottage and certainly is pretty low in fiber. I will be making a real effort to eat healthy this weekend, no matter what they have, and to do lots of swimming. I'm trying to work up to being able to go across the lake so I'll work on that ^_^ I'll track everything when I get back, exercise and food and everything.

    emoticon Hope you feel better! I have IBS too, but get a panic kind of feeling when I can't go. I take psyllium husk powder 1 hour before my meal. Have a wonderful weekend! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

    I was having some issues of my own a while back. I simply CAN NOT eat that much fiber and believe me I've tried. I did however find a little supplement called Phillips colon Health which is a probiotic and really helps quite a lot. I'd recommend giving it a try too if you find ou have the same problem i had.
