Well I finished the 2nd day of week 2 this morning! It was SO HOT! The temp is supposed to reach 100 today and by the time we got out (around 8am) it was already well into the 80's! I was a little worried I'd pass out or it would just be an awful experience, but it wasn't. We brought some water to hydrate once in a while and that helped a lot. Luckily, the park we run in has a lot of trees so we're not continuously in the blazing hot sun.
I felt really good about this run. The first 4 intervals were great- I found a nice steady pace and it felt relatively easy. I was still getting a good cardio workout, but I can tell my body is beginning to get the hang of this whole jogging thing. It was nice because I actually FELT like a runner! The last 2 intervals were a lil harder because my legs started to get tired, but nothing I can't handle. By the end of the workout, my watch read 432 cals burned!
Running for 3 minutes straight is beginning to sound a LOT more realistic! I love this program!!!
