July is a new month

Monday, July 05, 2010

For July, I have decided to follow the 28-day boot camp to really focus on fitness and nutrition. I am disappointed that I did not lose in June but gained. I want to be down 10 pounds in July and I know I can do it.

Focus on vegetables and fruits, exercise daily and I am going to follow the DVD cardio SparkPeople system. I am really going to focus on the nutrition too.

I know I can do it! Focus! Focus! Focus!

I was going back and reading some of your older blogs. I don't know if you have a yard to mow, but everyone has cleaning to do and you can post it under cardio as heavy cleaning, mowing too, if you have a yard. This may give you a way to do exercise when you don't have much time to go to another location to exercise.
I recommend swimming or water exercise because it doesn't stress the joints. I don't know if you have a YMCA near you where you could join and swim. I have some health problems and have an elliptical machine in the basement and I walk when it isn't too hot outside.
I wear a wristwatch and sometimes put a small tablet in my pocket and keep track of the number of minutes I walk that way. My doctor told me that exercise does not have to be done all at once, just as long as you get the heart rate up. Some use a pedometer and do 10,000 steps per day, that is during any activity and does not require a faster pace, just 10,000 steps per day.
Thanks for your comment on my blog. Swimming last night in the warm water was a treat.
