I lost 3lbs this week bringing my total since June 6th to 25lbs. Decent loss and a pretty good week except for my water intake. Thanks for the support!

    As someone who has struggled with gaining and losing the same 2-5 pounds week after week for the last year, I have to admit that I'm completely envious of your 2 pounds lost last week and 3 pounds lost this week.

    As long as the weight is coming off, don't be in such a rush. The longer it takes to take the weight off with small changes the more likely the weight will stay off because the changes that caused/resulted in the weight loss will be permanent and healthy. They will stick with you and you will be able to maintain a healthy lifestyle and weight. From where we stand, it looks and feels like it may take forever, but those changes will happen and the number on the scale will drop and a general feeling of being healthy will develop. The weight didn't come on over night, and it won't come off that way, either, no matter how much we might wish it. Keep making those small changes and big changes will come your way.

    That is definitely a great way to look at it. Just keep chipping away at it.

    Just imagine how much fun it is going to be playing with the nieces/nephews when you get down a bit more.

    Congrats on the 3lbs! I think you have the right idea about slowly making changes and trying to not focus too much on the number on the scale, as long as it's going in the right direction. Water was hard on me too back when I never drank it and only ever drank soda... back then I often put crystal light packets in my water just so I could make my 7 or 8 cups a day. Things get easier and we DO adjust to change. I no longer put anything in my water and have no problem diring 8-10 cups everyday... I almost don't even have to think about it anymore cause it's so natural


    and 25lbs in a month is amazing!!! emoticon

    I am so proud of the accomplishements you've made this past month!!!
    Like you said, any amount lost is progress and each week you will be feeling better and better about yourself.
    Sounds like your niece loves her uncle. Just think, she will be able to watch this journey too and more and more, you will be able to be more active with her.
    Way to go for another great week and I'm looking forward to next weeks video!!!

    I am so excited for you, 3 pounds is excellent! The way I see it, as long as it is a loss then your on track. Plus 3 pounds is alot, I figure with myself anything over 2 pounds is BONUS! Your right too that just because you lose 2 or 3 pounds one week doesn't mean that later, even months later that you won't lose even more per week like- 4 or 5 pounds . I am alway losing different amounts. Keep up the good work Tim, I love watching your videos I think your a good looking guy and I love your big eyes- they look blue to me.

    As far as your little neice goes, just be happy your not playing princesses and having to wear a tiara! LOL You know how little girls are!

    Keep going at it, I can't wait until you blog that your 599! I know you will do it!

    Congrats on your results and Way To Go on your changes! You're right, you're making small changes - and as you make more small changes, the results will get bigger and bigger.

    Dave Ramsey tells a story about how he used to hang out with millionaires and then when he became a millionaire, he wanted to hang out with billionaires. This one guy, said there was a book that had such an impact on him. He'd even read it to his grand-kids repeatedly, and it really impressed him that every time he read it, the story ended the same way. Dave's response was, what was it, what was that magical book?! The response was, "The Tortoise and the Hare." Dave said he stewed for a couple weeks about that. How on earth, such a build-up had been made, and the book was THE TORTOISE and THE HARE?! Then he finally got it. Yes, this very successful businessman was right. It's so simple, even though we make it so hard. Every time that story's read, each and every time, the slower creature who stuck with it, the one who didn't burst forward and burn out, every time the tortoise won the race.
