That was what I said to myself out loud this morning when I stepped on the scale.
I started this weight loss journey Jan 1st of this year. I woke up that morning and said I am sick of being fat. I WILL do something about it this year. I was doing totally awesome the first three months of the year. I was down 25 lbs. Then I started my new job. They were feeding us so well and we were sitting on our butts for 8hrs a day listening to speakers for 3 weeks. The lbs slowly started to come back.
During the first week of NBLC2 I slacked a little. But an awesome member of the team, known as momtorissa mentioned the FAST diet to the group. I decided to google it and see what I could find. I read the website and noticed the gentleman who runs the program wrote a book. I went to the public library on Thursday and checked it out. My goal was to have it read by Sunday so I could implement this diet into my NBLC2 challenge. I had succeeded. This book encouraged me to kick it into high gear and get back on track.
On June 20th I was required to weigh in. I weighed in at 225. I was up 7 lbs since I had started my new job. This encouraged me more. So I worked extremely hard that first week. I followed all the rules to the T. I even walked by a box of pizza on the break room table as well as a yummy looking birthday cake. I was proud of myself. I was even more proud of myself after week 1 when I stepped on the scale and lost 5.2 lbs.
Today ended week 2 of the FAST diet for me. I stepped on the scale to find I had lost another 4.4 lbs. I have now lost a total of 9.6 lbs. Not only have I taken off the 7 horrible lbs I gained back, I lost an additional 2.6 lbs. I am now at the lowest weight I have been at in as long as I can remember.
I am only 15.4 lbs away from reaching the 200 lb mark. Today I told myself "I CAN DO THIS, and I WILL DO THIS" No matter how hard it is for me to do this, I am going to do it.
Thanks momtorissa for introducing this diet to me. Although it is very similar to the spark diet, I feel it is what kicked me into high gear this time around.
