Same Mantra, Different Day

Sunday, July 04, 2010

So, once again, I allowed myself to fall off track and I stopped recording my nutrition and exercise. I did still get in my walks, some cardio workouts, some dance workouts, and so forth, but did not keep track of them.
More importantly, I stopped my nutrition logging and went on vacation with some major self-indulgence, in general, at its core.
The end result ... I gained 10 pounds so am now up 20!
Surprised? A bit, for I really did not veer off-course for very long, or, I thought, very far. I had hoped that 3 years of eating right would translate into my naturally eating right without having to do it consciously. But let's face facts:
Brownies, chips, turkey dogs on buns, crackers and cheese, chocolate chip cookies, toasted marshmallows, restaurant food, fudge from mountain gift shops ... did I really expect not to put on some weight?
Today is Sunday and I am back to the path of fitness and health!
I know what to do, now to get back to doing it!
