Yes, I'm certifiable. Happy 4th of July!

I'm absolutely exhausted so I will try to keep this short.
We moved into this neighborhood a little over 2 years ago. The house we bought was the 'model', and there were only four finished and occupied houses. Across the street and around both sides were empty piles of dirt. We lived across the street from the sales office with it's obnoxiously noisy HVAC for about 18 months.
This is the first year that all the houses are done and occupied. We're actually lucky in some respects since the current housing hell hole has left many neighborhoods (including one down the hill) unfinished and with lots full of weeds.
Having appointed myself Mayor, I decided that we needed to start a neighborhood tradition of a Block Party on the 4th of July.
I made up flyers and ordered a 20' x 20' canopy which was set up this morning. I rented traffic cones. I've been working on smoking nearly 70 pounds of pork ribs today. Half are done with my rub and a bbq sauce I buy from Memphis, and the other half with a ginger/garlic/honey marinade.
So much more to do tomorrow, and I'm so stinking tired.
It's going to be SO much fun. I think our neighborhood has at least one family from every country in Southeast Asia, and there are three different 'extended' families here, with two, two, and three households! Everyone is really excited and I think it will be GREAT.
I have to get to bed - I have a lot of DELEGATING to do tomorrow!
