Am I Ready? I'll Soon Find Out.

I will leave for Atlanta tomorrow. My family will meet me at the airport and we'll have a few days before the Peachtree 10K on July 4. It will be a great time, and the anticipation is building.
We will go the race expo on July 3, pick up our numbers, and look at the merchandise. Then off to see the Braves play. It is an afternoon game, so we will get a good night's sleep.
It isn't everyday that one runs with 55,000 runners in the largest 10K in the country. It is a party on foot with bands playing at various mile markers. There are always a few unofficial offerings of donuts, beer, t-shirts, popsicles etc. But water is plentiful and appreciated.
Oh, the family members running are all faster than me, but that's OK with me. I will push myself to my limit to the extent that I am able. I have knee problems, and my speed is definitely affected by that.
My family have their orders: meet at the agreed spot after the race, and be sure to hand me a cold drink when I finish. We'll have a group picture taken to commemorate our achievement, and then seek out a coffee shop for some rest.
I'll give a race report after I return home.
