Some good stuff this week..and a realization

I'm feeling pretty positive this week. I am continuing my running clinics and actually joined the 5K group to stretch myself a bit. Don't get me wrong, the "learn to run" group are awesome and they are doing so well, I just wanted to test myself. I was able to do the running intervals and I am so pumped..Gonna stay with this group. Think I can do a 5K by September.
Biked to work today..what a beautiful day..cool and sunny..Perfect!
My BMI moved out of "obese" finally! Yay...and I am now officially 75% of the way to my goal weight.
Wow, as I type that I am struck by just how far I have come. Now comes the realization.....
My success , yes, is due in part to my goal setting, mind shift, and commitment, but it is also due in a larger part to Sparkpeople. The tools here are so easy to use and provide so much feedback..The articles are full of information and I have adopted so many new view points ( "it's about consistency, not perfection".."look ahead," "EVERY decision is a new opportunity to make a healthy choice" and so many more). These have had such a profound impact on how I am approaching this journey, and adapting my lifestyle change..
Most of all, its due to the wonderful support you all have given me..Whether it's been a quick note of encouragement from a "surfing sparker" , a checkin from one of my Sparkfriends, or the continual contact I have had with a wonderful group of ladies in the beginner fitness buddy group. Each word of encouragement, each snack idea, exercise challenge, cheers of celebration for my successes has contributed to the new foundation on which I am now building my new, healthy life...
So to all I say THANK YOU! Such short words for such a huge feeling
If I can help even one person on their journey....Spread the flame of this spark..I will truly feel complete...
