Small goals.....

Tuesday, June 29, 2010

Well, this is first blog entry. I love reading everyone else's blogs....I just never thought I would create one myself.

I have been struggling for about a week and a half. I think I am getting too comfortable. I noticed when I was walking on the treadmill on Monday...that I hadn't even gotten my heart rate up...time to up the MPH! I am also telling's okay to eat that can eat less at dinner. Then at dinner...I eat more than I planned. Or, I tell's okay...just finish out the can start again tomorrow! While I know it is important to remember to just start again the next meal or the next day...I am finding myself continuing my excuses through the next day or next meal. That thinking gave me a 3 pound gain last week.

So, I am renewing my focus! I tend to set small goals for myself...when you have 65 - 70 pounds to have to...right? So, I just changed my network password at work. We have to change it every 6 weeks. I changed it to a 'small goal' number. I am thinking if I have to type that password in several times a day for the next 6 will help me keep my focus.

Here's to small goals!

I wrote something similar to this today! I wrote out all of my weekly goals and the rewards I get for each goal I accomplish. I think it helps a lot! I, too, have 70 pounds to lose and every time I think about that number, I just want to stop. I keep thinking, "that's just too much!". But when I think about losing 2 pounds this week, it seems so easy.
You can do it! Just keep your head up and stay focused. It'll be Christmas before you know it and you'll look AMAZING! emoticon
