An Eye Opening Week

Saturday, June 26, 2010

This week has been a eye opener for me as my weight has gone down. I noticed yesterday that I had to adjust the seat in my car, cause my feet didn't reach the pedals as well....and no I am not getting shorter yet (not quite at that age). It was strange, cause it's something I never thought about. I guess my butt must be getting smaller, which is a very good thing.

I also put on a size 18 pair of pants yesterday, that didn't have any elastic in the waist!! In Feb 2009 I was to the place where I was moving into a size 24. It is such a great feeling to be able to SEE these changes and know that, even though the scale may say that I'm not losing the lbs very fast, that my body is adjusting to the pounds that I have lost. It has taken me since Feb 2009 to lose 40 lbs, but since I can't exercise very well, I am very pleased with myself.

I challenge everyone that reads this to start today to get those pounds gone. Yes it takes work at the start, but I am now to the place where it isn't work anymore. You HAVE to know that you are worth the effort and that you CAN do it. I want everyone to feel the way that I felt yesterday when I realized how things have changed for me over the last year and a half. I HATE to fly, but I can't wait to sit in the seat on the airplane and see how I fit now!!!

Please stop today and think about how you could feel in a year or after losing 40 lbs. Did you know that for every 10 lbs you lose, you take 100 lbs of pressure off of your knees? My doctor told me that on Thursday.
