It was a day at the beach

If it was a day, it was a short one, but it was adequate.
We head out to the shore at about rush hour, when everyone was leaving, about 4 in the afternoon. It wasn't long before I was in the water. Yes, it was a bit chilly, not quite as cold as river swimming in NH, but cold until getting used to it.
There were lots of people, so walking the shoreline was more of an obstacle course, and except for a few small shells and stones, there was nothing much to scavenge for a 3D collage. I put a few of the larger rocks by our goldfish pond, the rest of my pickings: shells and stones, are still in the empty blueberry box I brought for the purpose. Well, I brought the blueberries to eat, and aimed to use the empty box to fill with beach combing. It just means I need another day at the beach.
I set the timer on my watch to see how long I was in the water. It took me about 5 minutes to get ready, then about another 5-10 minutes to get used to the cold water shock before swimming. I did swim about half an hour.
So, tonight I am tired from the sun, the sand, the salt. It's all good.
My tankini - my hubby wanted to see me wear it.
