So....I started the P90X 13 days ago, loving it!!!
So in the last two weeks I have officially lost 1.5 lbs.
Now, if i looked at the scale as a measuring tool I would probably stop working out. I have worked out a minimum of one hour a day for the last two weeks, and all I lose is 1.5 lbs?????
Okay, so I have only lost 1.5 lbs (on the scale), but I have gained so much more than that. I have learned to push through the resistance of getting up an hour and half earlier just to work out. I have gained muscle, flexibility, energy, and endurance.
I haven't been at this weight for 20 years. I have lost 74 lbs to date since last summer.In the process of losing, I have gained.... confidence, a smaller-healthier body (still have a ways to go), and strength to get me to my goal of 155 lbs.
I am definitely on my way... doesn't matter my surroundings, I will get to my finish line! I will gain a healthy-fit body...for ME!!! not for an event, or a person, or even because my doctor says I should be losing weight. Its for ME!!! By the time I lose all of my extra weight, I will have lost an 'adult'. So I gain a whole new me, and I am thoroughly enjoying the journey! So many times we want to get to the end result quickly, but if that would actually happen we would miss all the knowledge that the journey brings us. I will enjoy the journey, I will lose the weight, I will gain a whole new ME!!!
