Well hello there,
It's been a while since I've had time for Spark. The next two weeks will be the calm before the storm, so I'm going to enjoy the peace while I can.
Here's what's going on:
After a hectic week of showings, we sold our house. I am VERY relieved that it didn't take a long time. It was a challenge to keep the house sparkly clean all the time and to be ready to vacate on a moment's notice.
I sort of fell of the wagon food-wise. Well, maybe half of the wagon. I've still been hanging on, but getting dragged alongside it sometimes! I find myself going for convenience rather than nutritional value part of the time and I want to nip that problem before it grows bigger.
And speaking of growing bigger, my pregnancy is going well - overall I'm healthy. Baby is doing fine and kicking me harder each day! I have however, put on a little more weight than I had planned to by this point, and I've been experiencing a fair bit of water retention. The extra water is causing a bit of trouble with my wrists. It's carpal tunnel syndrome. I had no idea that could happen to pregnant women! I find it frustrating, because this month I am participating in an online creativity course. My goal was to get back into creating artwork on a regular basis and now my hands don't want to co-operate. I also just bought a lot of yarn to make baby items and now I'm not sure if I can do it.
Now we have two weeks left until we take possession of our "new" house. It needs some renovations before we move in though, so July will be hectic with plumbing, electrical, new floors, a new kitchen and a new bathroom going in before we actually move! The worst part is that I feel helpless...usually I would pitch in and do some of the work myself but my pregnancy comes first, so I won't be doing any of that.
Today I'm taking time to regroup. I want to gather my thoughts and come up with a game plan for the next 6 weeks. I think I'll start with making a freezer full of healthy meals so that I can at least stay on track food-wise.
I hope you're all doing well.
Have a great Spark-filled weekend!
